The Blue Book
Available in New York City this winter in February, the Metropolitan Dog Club is publishing its second annual
Westminster Editon of The Blue Book. The magazine, named after the club colors, caters to discerning dog enthusiasts
and their pampered pets. In this upcoming issue, the ladies and gentlemen of the "Metro" celebrate the 134-year-old
dog show.
Metropolitan Dog Club President, Charlotte Reed, commented, “We wanted to produce something special that would benefit
all dog lovers whether they show their dogs for sport or will be at watching the dog show at home with pampered pooch
on the couch." The magazine provides both an educational resource guide for luxury and necessary dog information.”
For advertisers, the timing couldn’t be better. The magazine will be in front of over 40,000 people visiting Madison
Square Garden during the Dog Show. In addition, The Blue Book will target affluent buyers and be mailed to notable
pet businesses, animal organizations and pet-related companies nationwide.
Esteemed members of the dog world and members, including David Frei; Joanne Anderson; Bryna
Comsky; Andrew DePrisco; Alan Fausel; Ann E. Hohenhaus, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM; Barbara Miller; Gail Miller-Bisher;
Jane St. Lifer; and Sharon Sakson volunteered their time to help create a unique magazine that contains insights about canine art,
dog culture, special events, health issues and the sport of showing dogs in the greatest city in the world.
Some of the themes The Blue Book will feature in its first issue include:
