Beth Adelman
Beth Adelman is a Certified Cat Behavior Consultant and a publishing professional. She currently writes "The Cat Lady" column for the Sunday New York Post and is co-editor of the journal Animal Behavior Consulting: Theory and Practice. Beth has edited more than 100 books about companion animals, many of them award winners, and worked for many years as an acquisitions and development editor for Howell Book House and Dorling Kindersley. She is also the former editor in chief of Cats magazine and DogWorld and former managing editor of the AKC Gazette. Her book, Every Cat's Survival Guide to Living With a Neurotic Owner, is a multiple award winner.

, three Long Island weekly newspapers for over 26 years as a way to publicize the “hidden” dogs and cats available at local municipal shelters. She is an award winning member of Dog Writers Association of America (DWAA) and Cat Writer Association (CWA), and a volunteer for Last Hope Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation. Joanne and her husband Richard live in Babylon with two Afghan Hounds, an English Toy Spaniel mix and a 3-legged cat- all rescues. She is the 2009 Metropolitan Dog Club President’s Award winner for her commitment to public service.
Mary Bloom
Mary Bloom has been a professional photographer focusing on the bond between people and animals, especially dogs, since 1978. Her photographs have appeared in numerous publications including Life, Smithsonian Magazine, The New York Times, Newsweek, The Los Angeles Times, Family Circle and a variety of other publications. Ms. Bloom has been an official Westminster Kennel Club photographer since 1995. Her studio is located in upstate New York.
Bryna Comsky
Bryna was instrumental in gaining full AKC recognition of Canaan Dogs after the groundwork had been laid by Bert & Jay C. Sheaffer at Spatterdash Kennels, Emmaus, Pennyslvania. During four decades in the breed, Bryna embraced life in the dog world “sub-culture,”-outside AKC recognition. She translated
Pariahunda (Pariah Dogs)
the seminal work on Canaan Dogs by Drs. R. & R. Menzel, and is an aspiring dog show judge.
Andrew DePrisco
Andrew DePrisco is the Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of Kennel Club Books and BowTie Press, both divisions of BowTie, Inc. Andrew has been in the dog publishing world for over twenty years. He began his career in dog books at T.F.H. Publications in 1987 where he remained for over ten years. In 1997 he was hired as Editor for the European pet-publishing Animalia, Ltd. In 2003 he began Kennel Club Books and has served as its Editor in Chief since its inception. He is the author of more than ten books on dogs and cats, including the Benjamin Franklin award-winner Woof! A Gay Man's Guide to Dogs and several DWAA nominated titles, including Canine Lexicon, Choosing a Dog for Life, and A New Owner's Guide to Training the Perfect Puppy.
Alan Fausel, MA, FRICS
Alan Fausel brings with him almost 30 years of art world experience as a scholar, curator and appraiser. He currently oversees Bonhams Fine Arts department in New York, where he conducts regular sales of American, European and Old Masters paintings, including the annual sale devoted to dog paintings. Fausel is regular on the paintings table for the past nine seasons of Antiques Roadshow. He teaches at New York University in the Graduate School of Arts Eduation. He is also a frequent lecturer to groups that include the Appraiser's Association of America.

David Frei is well-known to millions of television viewers as the longtime (since 1990) co-host of USA Network's annual telecast of the popular
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
, and also has been the co-host on NBC of
The National Dog Show
on Thanksgiving Day since 2003. He has been director of communications for the Westminster Kennel Club since 2003, and serves as president of
Angel On A Leash
, a charity of the Westminster Kennel Club that champions the use of therapy dogs in enhancing human health and quality of life.
Marc E. Havig, DVM, ACVS
Dr. Marc Havig, DACVS is currently a staff surgeon at The Animal Medical Center, and the interim Chair of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Havig specializes in orthopedic surgery and has a special interest in canine sports-related injuries.
Ann Hohenhaus, DVM, ACVIM
Dr. Ann E. Hohenhaus is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, certified in both Oncology and Small Animal Internal Medicine. She has over 20 years of experience as a practicing veterinary oncologist in New York City.
Ylisa Kunze
Ylisa Kunze comes from a Portugese Water Dog family. About 25 years ago, she suggested the breed to her parents as the perfect sailing companion. Her father felt that showing dogs would be a great hobby for her mom but he quicly got caught up in the sport himself. Within years, Kunze's mother's stud dog was ranked in the top 10 of the breed and was also considered a top producer of champion dogs. Currently, Kunze is vice president of human resources for RXR Realty, a developer, owner and operator of commerical reality. Kunze has a background as psychotherapist. She lives in Manhattan with Karma, Ch. Stargazer One with the Universe-who just happens to be from the line of herlate parents prize PWD stud.
Elizabeth Masella
Elizabeth Masella is currently a second-year graduate student in the MFA Art Criticism and Writing program at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She will graduate in May 2010 and hopes to go into museum work and continue to write art criticism on the side. She has worked for Jane St. Lifer Kennedy, the Metropolitan Dog Club's Treasurer, since 2006 and was the business coordinator for the inaugural issue of the MDC Blue Book in February 2009. Elizabeth is the owner of a 10-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Morgan and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Gail Miller Bisher
Gail Miller Bisher, an owner, breeder and professional handler, is director of business development for WebVet.com. Gail competes in conformation, obedience and earthdog events. She is launching the Super Fit Fido Club fitness program to help combat the canine obesity epidemic in the United States.
Gregg Oehler
As a 30-year publishing executive, Gregg has been involved in over 50 magazine start-ups. Gregg also is president of Oehler Media Inc., a publishing, marketing and advertising firm based in New York City.
He has appeared on “Good Morning America,” CBS’s “The Early Show,”NBC's "The Today Show", “Dateline” on NBC, “Jane’s New York,” CNN, “Fox & Friends,” and “Martha Stewart Apprentice.”
He is publisher of MDC's Blue Book, his other clients have been as Executive Director of www.DoggedHealth.com, and V.P of FIDO Friendly magazine.
As former publisher of The New York Dog and The Hollywood Dog magazines and media director of New York City’s first annual Pet Fashion Week 2006,Gregg has a great deal of experience covering pet industry trends and the lives of celebrity pet owners.
A proud father to his Boston Terrier, Gracie, Gregg continues to be involved in all aspects of the pet industry.
Corey Olin
Corey Olin is a nine-year awarded creative director, graphic designer and illustrator whose talents include recognizable branding, visual layout skill for online or print media, viral marketing and publishing. His style is almost entirely flexible, certainly adaptable, able to target any market. His clients have included VANS Shoes, Heineken, Rockefeller Center and BFW Media, although he has a sweet spot for his furrier clientele. His work has been published internationally, and his expertise has been specially recognized in the elite Communication Arts magazine and blog. The artist currently resides in Barcelona, Spain, working on projects world-wide. www.coreyolin.net.
Maria Palladino
Maria Palladino is a seasoned veteran in the field of graphic, marketing and web design specialist. She is the founding president and lead designer at Vitalian Design, where she provides marketing, design, print, web and promotional services for a myriad of clients ranging from national and regional magazines to real estate firms to movie moguls to disaster management and staffing services. A graduate of University of Florida’s bachelor’s of fine art program, Palladino is a creative soul at heart with a sharp mind for technology, which allows her to not only design the front end of Web sites, but also to write the code that makes them function with speed and accuracy. The proud mom of a short but active Labrador/Dachshund mix is an animal lover and donates her work and time to canine rescue organizations in the Atlanta community where she resides.
Charlotte Reed
Charlotte Reed is a pet care and lifestyle expert. In 1995, she abandoned life on Wall Street as a corporate lawyer to open Two Dogs & A Goat Incorporated, a premiere, full-service, pet care provider in New York City. She is one of the founding members of the Metropolitan Dog Club and the president. Reed is the author of
The Miss Fido Manners Complete Book of Etiquette
(Adams Media). Currently, she is Time Inc.'s PeoplePets.com Petiquette Columnist and the AllYou.com Pet Money Savings Blogger. Reed also works as a pet industry consultant. Although many manufacturers, such as Dyson, Febreze, Purina, Arm & Hammer have hired her as a spokesperson, she also works with advertising, marketing, PR and social media firms as a pet trend expert, providing a unique understanding of what drives pet consumer behavior. Charlotte is married to Chef Matthew Babbage and is the owner of four dogs, two cats and one parrot.
Sharon Sakson
Sharon Sakson has been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for 30 years. She is an American Kennel Club judge of Hound and Working breeds and judges internationally. She has bred more than 50 champion whippets, including Best in Show winners in many countries, and a dozen champion Brussels Griffons. She has been a journalist and television producer for network news programs for 20 years. Sharon is the author of Paws & Effect: The Healing Power of Dogs (Random House 2009), Paws to Protect: Dogs Saving Lives and Restoring Hope, Brussels Griffons: A Complete Pet Owner’s Manual and co-author of Paws & Reflect: A Special Bond Between Man and Dog. Sharon lives in Princeton, NJ.
Jane St. Lifer Kennedy
As a child, Jane traveled with her mother to international dog shows and showed the family Bedlington Terriers in Junior Showmanship. Since 1988, she has been a Fine Art Appraiser with her own practice in Manhattan; She is the president of Jane St. Lifer Art. Her interests include contemporary paintings of "Dogs in Art" and she will organize the annual, juried exhibition for the Metropolitan Dog Club. Jane and her husband, Steven live with a 13 year old retired show, American Cocker Spaniel, named Molly.
