Sponsorship Opportunities
In February 2009, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show will take place on February 9th and 10th at
Madison Square Garden. Dog fanicers and other canine enthusiasts come from around the world to
New York City to participate in this illustrious sporting event and to attend the festivities
associated with one of the last benched, conformation shows in the United States. Steeped in
133 years of tradition, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is considered by many to be America’s
most prestigious dog show.
And, in this upcoming year, the Metropolitan Dog Club will once again host its annual Best In Show Brunch
on Wednesday, February 13, 2009 in Grand Central Terminal. At this post-Westminster event, the Who’s
Who of the dog world, affluent New York dog lovers, journalists and celebrities will have an opportunity
to celebrate with the winning dog and his team. Moreover, we are pleased to announce that during the
brunch, the club will simultaneously host the satellite media tour of the WKC show’s longstanding co-host,
David Frei, with the winning dog and his companion handler at the restaurant venue.
The Metropolitan Dog Club is currently looking for three non-competing companies to sponsor the
Best In Show Brunch. Sponsoring companies will have a unique opportunity to enhance their company’s
pet-friendly image and introduce their products to the some of the most affluent individuals in the
world of dogs.
Gold Star sponsorship includes pre-event advertising in the club magazine, The Blue Book, pre-event
promotions (direct marketing, internet site, sponsor promotions, etc.), pre-event publicity, event
signage, media coverage of the event, and post-event wrap-up coverage.
Additionally, we are interested in securing product donations for the celebrity swag bag for the
winning dog, and the doggie bags for club members and their guests. Other relevant sponsorship
offers will also be considered.
