Best In Show Brunch

The Metropolitan Dog Club is pleased to announce that our second annual Best In Show Brunch will take place on February 11, 2009 at Charlie Palmer’s Metrazur restaurant, in the East Balcony of Grand Central Terminal. The event begins with the club’s Blue Ribbon reception at 10:30 a.m., and with the festivities ending at 2:00 p.m.

At our Blue Ribbon Reception, you will be able to meet the Westminster Kennel Club’s Group Judges and listen to the commentary of the Best In Show Judge, Sari Brewster Tietjen. Additionally, the club will be honoring David Frei and Bo Bengtson for their outstanding contributions to the betterment of dogs and people.

As is the general practice, the club will donate a portion of the proceeds from this event to charity. This year’s recipient will be Take the Lead. This organization provides direct services, support and care for people in the sport of purebred dogs who suffer the devastation of life-threatening or terminal illness. Lastly, as the USA Network’s co-host of the second oldest continuous sporting event in the United States, David Frei will broadcast his satellite media tour live with the winning dog and companion handler from the restaurant. Imagine dog-loving viewers being introduced to America’s Dog with the lively Grand Central Station serving as backdrop!

These are just a few highlights of what promises to be one the of the year’s best canine events. So that you know, on the day of the event, the club will not be selling tickets to the brunch. We are sure to have sold-out event, so act immediately! To make your reservation, click here.
