 The most important protection for you is to have enough liability
insurance to cover possible lawsuits from property damage or bodily
injury caused by your pet. You should make sure you have a large
enough umbrella to protect your assets.
If you are a condo or co-op owner, you need to make sure you have an
HO-6 policy that covers Additions & Alterations you have made to your
home along with your contents and basic liability protection.
If you are a renter, you need to make sure you have an HO-4 policy to
cover your contents and basic liability protection.
