Joseph Pentangelo
Joseph Pentangelo
Assistant Director, Humane Law Enforcement, ASPCA
Joseph Pentangelo is the Assistant Director for Humane Law Enforcement at the ASPCA. He supervises
animal cruelty investigations, is an official ASPCA spokesperson, and he directs media/press
relations for the Humane Law Enforcement department.
After a 21-year career with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) as a Detective and
spokesperson, Assistant Director Pentangelo joined the ASPCA in May 2001. In his spare time,
Pentangelo uses his law enforcement expertise as an actor playing similar roles. He has been
acting for more than 20 years and has appeared in many feature films and prime time television
programs.
Assistant Director Pentangelo lives in Staten Island, New York, with his wife, two sons, three
dogs and two cats. The rescue and adoption of Cane, one of Joe's dogs, was featured in several
episodes of the hit TV series “Animal Precinct” on Animal Planet.
